MASSENA -- Boutique Air will begin service between Massena International Airport (MSS) to Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI) and Albany International Airport (ALB) April 17.
The airline was recently awarded the DOT Essential Air Service contract to provide service between Massena, Albany and Baltimore after receiving “strong support from local leadership and the broader community,” Massena Town Supervisor Joseph Gray said.
“The town of Massena is very pleased to begin a new era of Essential Air Service with Boutique Air,” Gray said. “We are grateful for the past eight years of service we have received from Cape Air and the transition is rather bittersweet. However, we look forward to the growth of enplanements with the new aircraft and destinations. We've been impressed with other communities responses regarding Boutique Air and we are looking forward to joining that community.”
Fares will start at an introductory rate of $39 from Massena to Albany and $49 from Massena to Baltimore. The schedule will feature one daily round trip to Baltimore and two daily round trips to Albany. The schedule can be found in the adjacent table and online at www.boutiqueair.com.
Boutique Air operates a fleet of both Swiss-made Pilatus PC-12 aircraft and Beechcraft King Air 350 aircraft.
“With amenities designed to make the flying experience as comfortable as it gets, our aircraft features reclining leather seats in an executive configuration, power outlets, a pressurized cabin, enclosed lavatory, and a top speed of 300 mph,” Gray said in a news release.
Boutique Air is an FAA-certified air carrier providing both air charter and scheduled service. The airline currently services routes in Arizona, Alabama, California, Colorado, Georgia, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas and Utah.
