The National Weather Service is predicting lots of rain, thunderstorms and possible flash floods for the start of Memorial Day weekend, but there's a bright spot for Monday's holiday.
A flash flood watch remains in effect through late tonight throughout the county, according to the NWS. People are advised to avoid trying to drive through flooded roadways, because it's very difficult to tell whether any of the road has been washed away.
The rain continues tomorrow, according to NWS, with a 70 percent chance of thunderstorms throughout the day and a high of 78 degrees.
There is a 40 percent chance of rain and thunder for Saturday night and into Sunday and Sunday night. Temps will rise to 82 degrees Sunday.
But, the NSW predicts, the sun will finally come out Memorial Day with a high of about 81.
Tuesday may be a scorcher, with sunny skies and temps predicted to reach 88 degrees.
