Snow has covered the ground this morning in St. Lawrence County and temperatures will be on the chilly side today with highs mainly in the teens to mid 20s, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
There is a 20 percent chance of snow this morning before 9 a.m. with a high of 27 expecected and winds of 9 to 13 miles per hour, forecasters say.
Tonight will see clear skies and light winds, which combined with some snow pack in the higher terrain will result in lows ranging from near zero to the mid teens near waterways, the service says.
A dry day is expected on Thursday but wind chills could be around -3, before another coastal system impacts our region Thursday night into Friday dropped 1-3 inches on the North Country, NWS says.

Thursday
Partly sunny, with a high near 31. Wind chill values as low as -3. Light east wind.
Thursday Night
Snow, mainly after 11pm. Low around 24. Southeast wind 5 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
Friday
Snow before 2pm, then rain, possibly mixed with snow. High near 36. Calm wind becoming southwest around 6 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Friday Night
A chance of snow showers before 11pm, then a chance of rain and snow showers between 11pm and 4am, then a chance of snow showers after 4am. Cloudy, with a low around 31. West wind 8 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
Saturday
A 30 percent chance of showers after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 39. West wind around 9 mph.
