POTSDAM -- First Class Services has changed locations and expanded services to include scrap metal collection.
Owner Lisa Clothier said she purchased the former Woodruff Block property at 495, West Parishville Road.
Woodruff Block closed last in April of 2012.
Clothier said the new facility includes 10 acres of land and has allowed the company to offer metal and electronic waste collection.
"We do heating, air conditioning and scrap metal," she said. "We just ordered 20 new containers of our customers to use and we will be installing truck scales soon."
Clothier said the scales will allow customers to weigh their vehicles before and after dumping scrap to allow for speedier transactions.
The new facility will also allow customers to get rid of dilapidated computers, televisions, microwaves, refrigerators and a variety of other appliances.
Clothier said First class Services is open "seven days a week."
"We live there so we are pretty much always available," she said.
A grand opening event is being planned. Clothier said it will take place after the truck scales are installed within the next four to six weeks.
First Class Services was formerly located on Pumpkin Hill Road.
