The Firemen's Association of the State of New York (FASNY) is looking for volunteer firefighters in New York State to compose a short video highlighting their personal stories using a smart phone or web cam.
Winners in this video contest will be part of a first-of-its-kind, statewide advertising campaign across all forms of media this summer to aid firefighter recruitment.
The submission deadline for video entries is Friday, April 13. Winners will be notified by April 18, and if chosen, filming is scheduled to begin at the end of April in Central New York.

This campaign was made possible by a $4.2 million U.S. Department of Homeland Security Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) grant awarded to FASNY last year, which has been allocated to FASNY’s multi-pronged firefighter recruitment and retention effort.
