NEWTON FALLS – An electrical fire in Newton Falls was contained to the room of origin due to “excellent” work by firefighters.
Crystal Burke and two other occupants got out safely from the house at 8 Elm St.
Newton Falls volunteers were called out at 9:46 p.m. Saturday, along with Cranberry Lake Rescue. Star Lake, Fine, Edwards and Cranberry Lake firefighters stood by.
Investigators credited “excellent interior attack and rapid knockdown” by the firefighters with confining damage to the room of origin.
No one was reported hurt.
Newton Falls Volunteer Fire Department was back in service at 12:55 a.m.
