POTSDAM -- The parade for the 117th Northern New York Firemen's Convention in Potsdam Saturday will start at 9:30 a.m. from Sisson Street.
The parade head south on Market Street towards downtown, will turn left on Elm Street and end at the Potsdam Rescue Squad Building. It will last until about 11 a.m.
The roadway will be closed in both directions for safety during the parade. People who live on Walnut and Larnard streets who wish to drive on Market Street during that time are asked to take Riverside Drive to Cherry Street and the traffic light at Market. Those on Grove, Cottage and Garden streets are asked to take Leroy Street instead of Market Street.
The Potsdam Fire Department asked for patience and expressed gratitude.
