NORFOLK -- For fire prevention week, the Norfolk Fire Department visited the preschool story hour at the Hepburn library of Norfolk
Fireman Vernon Wolfe gave equipment demonstrations and showed the children how to stop, drop and roll.
"Vernon did a wonderful job showing children that they need not be afraid if they should see a fireman in full gear. The children also had the opportunity to set in the fire truck and learn all about it. Everyone had a great time and is so thankful to have a wonderful volunteer fire department in our community!" library director Vicky Brothers wrote in an email.
