OSWEGATCHIE -- A family of 14 was left homeless following a fire caused by an overheated woodstove Saturday.
Heuvelton firefighters responded to the 529 Lovejoy Road home of Joe A. Miller at 5:02 p.m. Mutual aid was provided by the Morristown, Bier Hill, Lisbon and Ogdensburg fire departments.
Rensselaer Falls, Gouverneur, Waddington and Lisbon were also on standby.
Investigators say the home was a total loss. The fire is beleived to have stemmed from an overheated woodstove pipe
No injuries were reported.
Firefighters returned to service at 9 p.m.
