RICHVILLE – St. Lawrence County Fire Investigators say none of the 11 people, three dogs, two cats, one tarantula and one scorpion where injured in an apartment building fire at 2:21 a.m. Saturday at 28 Phelps St.
The fire, which was electrical in nature according to investigators, caused minor damage to the building belonging to Butternut Hill, which housed four apartment units.
Two of the families were assisted by the Red Cross following the blaze.
The Richville/DeKalb Fire Department responded at 2:28 a.m. and were reported back at the station at 5:04 a.m. No departments were on standby.
