PITCAIRN – St. Lawrence County Fire Investigators are still looking for the cause of a garage fire Wednesday afternoon that resulted in a total loss of the structure.

The garage belongs to Todd and Carol LaFave and is located at their residence, 762 St. Hwy 3.

Harrisville Fire and Rescue teams responded at 4:01 p.m. and battled the blaze until 7:14 p.m. when the building was declared a total loss. Mutual aid was provided by Fine, Edwards and Star Lake fire departments.

Investigators report the garage was insured.
