Fire claims Morristown residence, leaves two homeless

MORRISTOWN -- Two were left homeless following a blaze at 11:41 p.m. Saturday at 3845 County Route 6 in Morristown, according to St. Lawrence County fire investigators.

The property was owned by Jeramy Ward and was insured.

Morristown firefighters and rescuers responded to the scene, with Heuvelton and Brier Hill fire departments providing mutal aid.

Rensselaer Falls and Hammond fire departments were on standby.

The house was destroyed, but no one was injured as it was unoccupied at the time for the fire.

Investigators are still working to determine a cause.
