FINE — A Fine resident recently helped to raise money to purchase pet oxygen masks for several local fire departments.
Sadie and Kenny Hall’s eight-year old golden retriever, Dazee May, passed away in December 2016 of a rare lung disease. In memory of Dazee May, Sadie asked her family to donate to a fund to buy oxygen mask for local fire departments.
The family raised enough money to buy nine kits.
Enough money was raised to buy pet masks for the Fine Fire Department, Hermon Fire and Rescue, Gouverneur Rescue Squad, Edwards Fire Department, Star Lake Fire Department, Russell Fire and Rescue and the Cranberry Lake Fire Department.
The Edwards Fire Department donated money toward the purchase of a second kit.
