POTSDAM -- Canton-Potsdam Hospital’s Center for Cancer Care recently received 18 handmade patient blankets from female inmates of St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility.
The quilt project is one of several undertaken by inmates who wish to contribute to community organizations through meaningful projects.
The program was initiated by Officer Ann Hammac, and the quilts were presented with the help of Officer Stefanie Simpson and Rodney Votra, program director, St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.
