He is practicing with doctors Vineet Bansal, John Duffy, Emily Wood, Alecia VanWagner and Ashley Grimshaw, and physician assistant Dawn White at Potsdam Primary Care, 49 Lawrence Ave.
Yusuf earned his medical degree at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harlem. He completed his family medicine residency at Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center, Patchogue, and worked in Queens and Brooklyn as an attending physician at Getwell Pediatrics of New York, and as a family practice attending at Brooklyn Health Center of New York Hotel Trades Council. He has New York State Licensure for Medicine and Surgery, and is board eligible by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians.
“Working in urban and then suburban centers and hospitals, it was a natural progression to graduate to a rural area,” Yusuf said in a prepared statement from SLHS. “I wanted to see what else was out there and move toward something different. The North Country is a strong community where everyone can count on each other. Doctors, nurses, staff, and hospitals serve as patient representatives who work with local and regional colleagues to ensure the most informed, comprehensive decisions for care are made.”
