OGDENSBURG -- Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center will join the colon cancer awareness Dress in Blue Day on Friday, March 6.
In addition to encouraging Claxton-Hepburn employees to wearing blue on March 6, a colon cancer informational display will be set up in the hospital’s main lobby and the Cornerstone Café.
Throughout the month, the hospital will promote its free colonoscopy program for uninsured, and on March 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., will pass out free FIT test (fecal immunochemical test) is a screening kit for colorectal (colon) cancer that people can complete at home.
