BRASHER FALLS – Eight fire departments responded to a blaze that extensively damaged a barn on Saturday.
The St. Lawrence County Investigative Team is looking into the cause.
The North Lawrence Fire Department responded at 12:05 p.m. to the structure at 1198 County Route 55 owned by Wayne and Terri Lynn Winters. Firefighters returned to the fire station at 4:02 p.m.
The Brasher-Winthrop, Helena, West Stockholm, Nicholville, Lawrenceville, Moira and Brushton fire departments also responded through Mutual Aid.
One firefighter suffered a small burn on the arm, but no medical attention was required, officials said.
The West Stockholm Volunteer Fire Department remained on stand-by during the blaze.
The barn was used for storage, officials said.
