RICHVILLE – An Edwards man faces traffic charges following an accident that sent a Canton woman to Canton-Potsdam Hospital with a fractured leg, according to St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s deputies.
Deputies said they responded to a two-car accident at the intersection of State Route 11 and Willow Street where a vehicle operated by Jason C. Brunet, 27, 83 New St., entered the intersection and into the path of a vehicle driven by Krista Briggs, 29, Ike Noble Dr., resulting in a collision.
Briggs was transported by the Gouverneur Rescue Squad to the hospital and her passenger Janathan Stahl, 30, Ike Noble Dr., was treated for minor injuries, deputies said.
Brunet and a child in his vehicle were not injured, police said.
Brunet was cited for failure to yield right of way at a stop sign and will answer the charge in DeKalb court at a later date police said.
Richville and DeKalb fire departments reportedly assisted on the scene.
