EDWARDS – An Edwards man has been charged with felony drunk driving after receiving his third DWI within 10 years, according to state police.
Troopers report that Jody L. Matthews, 40, Edwards, had a blood alcohol level of .29 percent, three and a half times the amount needed for police to charge someone with DWI.
He allegedly was driving an ATV on Maple Avenue in Edwards shortly before 9 p.m. without head or tail lamps.
Matthews was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated: 2 prior in 10 years, a class D felony, and with the light violations.
State police said he was sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility on bail of $1,000 cash or $2,000 bond.
