The photos have received 227 “likes” and been shared 246 with over 17,000 people reached on Facebook, she says.

“These girls worked very hard for this shoot and I am so proud of them for putting themselves out there to try and help others with this issue,” Willard said in an email. Willard says there are some hidden flaws in the images themselves to see how people would react to them.

She said she wanted see whether they criticized us about it or looked past it, which is the point of our shoot even; if someone is flawed look [img_assist|nid=170668|title=|desc=|link=none|align=right|width=250|height=351]past the bad and look at the good in that person, don't bully them about the bad.

“So far we haven't had anyone comment on the flaws in the photo's which means that people are focusing on the message of the shoot and not the small details which is what our hopes were,” she said.

The girls that participated were Emma Gotham, Rylee Gotham, Haylee Reed, Taylor Dean, Logan Blackmer and McKayla White.

The photo shoot was thought of and done By Samantha Willard Photography, Russell NY.
