EDWARDS -- Edwards-Knox Central School has named its class leaders, valedictorian Elise Franck and salutatorian Noah White.
Franck has been a member of the National Honor Society for two years and has participated in several community service activities. She is also a member of the U.S. Pony Club where she holds the highest regional rating C-2 and received the Frances E. Pitts Memorial Award “for demonstrating excellence in horsemanship, sportsmanship, and leadership,” the school said.
She has been a member of the soccer and track teams. She was awarded the Section 10 All Academic Award and the Scholar/Athlete Team Award for both soccer and track. She has received numerous awards from her teachers for academics.

White, son of Laurence White and Rose White of Canton, is salutatorian with a cumulative average of 95 and will earn an advanced Regents diploma with honors, with mastery in mathematics and science.
He is the president of the National Honor Society, of which he has been a member for three years. He has participated in several community service activities. Noah has been on the outstanding honor roll most of his high school career and has earned numerous awards including Lion’s Club Highest Final Average for the past three years. His teachers have awarded him countless awards for classroom excellence and outstanding classroom performance in all areas of academics.
White has been an integral member of the soccer and basketball teams for four years and has served as team captain for both sports as well as receiving the Section 10 All Academic Award and the Scholar/Athlete Award for soccer and basketball. He has volunteered for the Hermon Junior Fire Department since 2013, where he served as lieutenant since 2014.
He plans to attend the University at Buffalo to study aerospace and mechanical engineering.
