POTSDAM -- SUNY Potsdam's Department of Literacy Education will offer a free professional development workshop for teachers, school administrators and education students on the art of collaboration, curriculum integration and media literacy.
Francoise Piron and Mary Ellen Shevalier, authors of “World Class, the Re-Education of America,” will share their experience of transforming classrooms to go beyond information gathering to utilization of research and technology to create change.
The workshop will Friday, April 29 from 1-3:30 p.m. Professional Development certificates will be provided for teachers who attend. Piron and Shevalier will present a book talk and signing following the event from 4 to 6 p.m.
