FOWLER – A fire early Monday morning destroyed a hobby barn located at 603 County Route 24, according to members of the Gouverneur Fire Department.
Gouverneur fire and rescue squad members responded to the blaze around 4:30 a.m. but were unable to save the structure.
The 20x60 foot building housed a tractor and hay that were reportedly lost in the fire.
No people or animals were inside, officials said.
The building was reportedly insured and owned by Joan Moorehouse.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
