Drug charges keep piling up for Ogdensburg man

OGDENSBURG – Charges kept piling up Saturday after state police executed an arrest warrant for an Ogdensburg man.

The arrest warrant served on Robert D. Brown, 22, 1850 Ford St., was for False Personation, Obstructing Governmental Administration, Possession of Hypodermic Needles, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation third degree, Operating a Motor Vehicle Without an Inspection Certificate and Speeding in connection with an Oct. 7 incident in Lisbon.

While he was being taken into custody shortly before 4:10 p.m. Saturday, Brown was found to be in possession of marijuana and pot paraphernalia, police said.

He was transported to the Ogdensburg state police barracks where he was also charged with felony Unlawful Possession of Marijuana-More Than 8 Ounces, two counts of Criminal use of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Hypodermic Needles and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana.

Brown was arraigned in the Town of Oswegatchie Court and sent to St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bail bond.

Brown is to reappear in Ogdensburg City Court on October 18, 2010 at 9 a.m.
