MASSENA -- Jackie Dow, Canton-Potsdam Hospital’s Cancer Treatment Center Director of Oncology Services, right, receives a check for $3,071 from Massena Memorial Hospital Foundation Executive Director Julia Rose, left.
The check represents CPH’s portion of proceeds from the Droppin’ the Gloves on Cancer women’s hockey tournament this fall at Clarkson University’s Cheel Arena.
Tournament proceeds have been shared between the two hospitals since the tournament’s inception at the wishes of the host team, Brasher Beavers, and has been designated to be used by each hospital for support, education, and awareness of cervical, uterine, ovarian, and breast cancer.
This year’s tournament was sponsored in part by the Helena General Store and the Bagelry in Potsdam.
