MASSENA -- A Malone man was sent to Massena Memorial Hospital for treatment of a head wound after being struck by a car on his way to Big Lots at Harte Haven Plaza Friday.
According to Village Police, Lloyd Tracey, 57, of 11 Heather Drive Malone was crossing with his son shortly before 1:25 p.m. when he was struck by a 2007 Chevrolet Impala driven by Tammy Ashley, 49, of 377 County Route 41, Massena.
Ptl. Corey Francis said Tracey suffered a laceration to the back of his head and was sent to MMH for treatment. Emergency room staff at the hospital said as of late Friday afternoon, he is still there and they are awaiting the results of tests.
Francis said Ashley was blinded by sun glare when she struck Tracey, but wasn’t going very fast. He said no charges will be filed.
