OGDENSBURG – Drag Queens from around the region will offer a variety of entertainment at the Quality of Life Building, 642 County Route 28A, May 6 to raise money for the Bass Master Elite Series.

The glamorous camping, or ‘glamping,’ themed event titled “Camp Fishsticks” will open up at 7 p.m., or 6 p.m. for VIPs.

Music, comedy, dancing and other forms of entertainment will be featured as celebrity queens from around the region perform.

Bob Giordano, who is helping organize the event, said similar events have been help in the North Country and often bring in as many as 200 people. Giordano said this event should be even bigger with talent coming from as far as Buffalo.

Giordano said the organizers approached the village expressing interested in helping raise money to bring the Bass Master Elite Series back to Waddington.

“We’re glad to have the help. It should be a lot of fun,” he said.

Among those performing will be Empress 25 of the Imperial Court of Buffalo Jaymee Cox, Miss Gay Rochester Veronica Lace, Miss Up and Coming CNY Paris Lu Rux, and Utica’s Hottest Rainbow Trout Berri Wild.

Music will be provided by DJ Todd of North Country Music Men.

The event will feature a full cash bar and light food.

Cost for admission is $10 for early passes or $15 at the door. A table of six is available for $70.

A VIP meet and greet will be held at 6 p.m. for $20, with doors opening at 7 for other guests.
