COLTON -- A downstate county legislator and former scout leader is free on $2,500 bail following molestation charges involving two teenage scouts in Cranberry Lake in August.
Michael N. Kelsey, 36, of Pleasant Valley, charged with first-degree sexual abuse, forcible touching, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
St. Lawrence County District Attorney Mary Rain said Kelsey was serving as a scout leader when the incident occurred.
Kelsey was arraigned in Pierrepont court where he pled not guilty, posted $2,500 bail, and was released.
