GOUVERNEUR -- The state Department of Transportation’s Gouverneur Village Reconstruction Project is expected to resume April 14.
The $9 million two-year project, which includes storm sewers and reconstruction of 1.2 miles of U.S. Rt. 11 from Route 58 to the eastern edge of the village, is expected to be complete by December.
Work this season will include drainage replacement, which will require blasting rock.
It is expected that traffic will be stopped periodically each day to allow for blasting.
Variable message boards will alerting motorist of work activities and traffic will be controlled with flaggers. Motorists should expect delays.
