The state Department of Transportation will conduct maintenance on State Route 3 this week, in addition to previously planned maintenance on Route 58.
Crews will be milling on State Route 58 in the village of Gouverneur today, rather than on May 20 as originally planned.
Workers will also begin milling on State Route 3 in Fine and Clifton beginning May 29.
Work is expected to be completed by June 7.
Traffic will be controlled by flaggers and motorists should expect minor delays.
Crews will also perform general maintenance activities such as ditching, culvert replacement, mowing, brush chipping, tree removal and sign repairs.
The department warns drivers to exercise caution in work zones and obey all traffic control devices.
