CANTON -- Drivers in the Canton area should expect delays as an Eastbound lane on Route 11 in the Village will be closed for approximately one week.
DOT Spokesman Michael Flick said the lane closure is expected to begin Wednesday.
He said a concrete barrier will be used to separate traffic from the work zone and an arrow board will be used to alert motorists to the merge condition.
"Motorists should expect delays and are reminded to exercise caution when traveling through any work zone," he said.
Flick said DOT employees will be performing underground utility work.
