OGDENSBURG -- The family of a former Ogdensburg resident who is recovering from critical injuries sustained in a car crash are seeking donations toward his medical bills.
Allen Erwin, son of Amy and the late Harry Erwin, was critically injured June 28 when his truck left the road and struck a pole in Fayetteville County, Ga.
According to a report in The Citizen, which covers the area where the collision took place, the accident was so severe that a portion of the engine entered the vehicle’s cab. He had to be airlifted from the scene to a trauma center in Atlanta, the article says.
Erwin has had several major surgeries, was hospitalized until July 22 and is now recovering at Health South Rehabilitation Center in Newnan, Ga., according to Robert and Ann Erwin.
People interested in making donations toward Erwin’s medical expenses can deposit money in an account at the State Street Community Bank.
