MASSENA – The Friends of the Massena Nature Center were recently recipients of a $6,000 gift from St. Lawrence Health Initiative's Creating Healthy Places to Live, Work and Play in St. Lawrence County program.

The grant will be used to purchase cross-country skis and snowshoes for use in winter recreation programming.

Friends gathered to celebrate the grant presentation and the declaration of the Nature Center as Tobacco Free.
