Dog hits shift lever, unattended car on Market Street in Potsdam hits another car

POTSDAM -- A Norwood woman was given a ticket after her dog drove her car in reverse on Market Street Thursday afternoon.

Village police say Laura Williams left her car running on Market Street, and left the dog unattended inside. The dog apparently hit the shift lever, putting the car in reverse. Williams car hit another car.

Williams got a ticket for leaving the car unattended. She is due in village court Aug. 19.

The dog was not charged.
