STOCKHOLM - A Winthrop woman was charged Thursday following a dog complaint first reported to state police June 2.
Nyoka M. Brown, 53, Winthrop, was charged with animal cruelty at the state police station, 29, Stearns St., Massena.
Brown was charged after the dog, a cocker spaniel, no name given, was located by the dog control officer in rough shape, troopers said.

She was released on an appearance ticket for the Town of Stockholm Court June 15 at 6 p.m.
