FINE -- This year’s Dodge Pond camp week for children with disabilities will be held July 31 through Aug. 5.

The St Lawrence County ARC, which owns the camp, is currently accepting applications from attendees.

The overnight camp is open to all disabled youngsters between the ages of 8-20 who live in Jefferson County. There is no charge to the camper.

Since 1991, the Rotary Clubs of Jefferson County have sponsored a week of camp at Dodge Pond.

Dodge Pond is completely handicapped accessible with a 17-acre pond. Campers get to go swimming, fishing, boating, take nature trails, do arts and crafts and all the things kids love to do at camp.

Transportation to and from the camp are provided from a centralized location in Watertown.

The sources of funding for the camp are made by contributions from the Rotary clubs in Jefferson County.

The camp can accommodate up to 50 campers. Space is limited.

The Jefferson Country Rotary Camp application is available on-line at www.slnysarc.org/dodge-pond, or by contacting Joe Montgomery at (315) 848-2336.
