MASSENA – Massena-based rock band Doc Rhythm is currently leading with 970 votes for The Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands contest in the Syracuse Region. At stake is an opportunity to share the stage with several national acts including Staind, Shinedown, Papa Roach, Godsmack and more.
Trailing Doc Rhythm is Syracuse rockers, Just a Memory, with 553 votes
While having the highest number of votes does not guarantee the local musicians will take the stage, it will allow the them to progress to the next round where the their music will be judged by a variety of artists, producers and record executives.
Judges will select four bands from each venue area to play at the respective festivals.
Doc Rhythm features Ben LaValley on vocals & guitar, Matt Wargo on bass, and Greg Currier on drums. The band has released two full-length albums, won multiple awards, named artist to watch by the nationally published magazine “Skope,” and has performed publicly on a regular basis over the last two years.
