District Attorney candidate Mary Rain poses with the retired former commander of the Gouverneur state police station, Travis Dann.
GOUVERNEUR – Republican candidate for St. Lawrence County district attorney Mary Rain has announced that she has been endorsed by the Police Benevolent Association of the New York State Troopers, the troopers’ union.
“Mary Rain is uniquely qualified for the position of St. Lawrence County district attorney, as she has extensive legal and criminal justice experience, with over 10 years of experience as a prosecutor and having served as a police officer for 15 years,” a statement from the troopers’ union said.
“The troopers’ PBA support is further evidence that my experience, leadership, and plan to fight crime are badly needed in St. Lawrence County,” Rain said in announcing the endorsement. “I will partner, not blame, law enforcement as district attorney to prosecute criminals and put them behind bars.”
