MASSENA -- A “Disaster Action Team” from the North Country Chapter of the American Red Cross provided assistance Sunday morning to four people who were displaced by a fire on South Main St., Massena, according to an press release from the organization.
Red Cross volunteers provided the displaced individuals with financial assistance for food, clothing, shoes and seasonal garments, the statement said.
The Red Cross said volunteers will remain available to the residents in the coming days to offer support, counseling and referrals to local agencies that will provide long-term assistance during their recovery.
