OGDENSBURG -- The Diocese of Ogdensburg is participating in National Catholic Sisters Week from March 8 through 15.
Bishop Terry R. LaValley says the week “provides us with the opportunity to highlight the lives and works of our consecrated Religious Sisters. This is a time for us to hear the vocation stories of our Sisters so that they may inspire the hearts and spirits of girls and women to hear and respond to God’s call within them."
A news release from the diocese cites Catholic sisters' local efforts throughout the years, including social outreach, prison ministry, counseling, diocesan administration and various areas of ministry, including parish pastoral, hospice, hospital administration and healing and bereavement.
