HERMON — A Malone man was arrested Tuesday after allegedly tampering with another person’s computer and social media account on Oct. 26, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
Carl W. Smith, 35, allegedly posted multiple lewd and vulgar posts on the other person’s account which caused a substantial inconvenience to the person, officers said.
He was charged with third-degree criminal tampering, deputies said.
Smith was arraigned in Hermon court and remanded to St. Lawrence County Jail on $750 bail, officers said.
An order of protection was issued in favor of the victim.
Smith is to answer charge charge in court at a later date, officers said.
