CANTON -- The St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office has charged another person in the wake of a Sept. 3 meth bust in Oswegatchie.

Anne M. Snyder, 41, of 815 Stone Church Road, Oswegatchie on Sept. 29, at about 12:33 p.m. with unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine and second-degree criminal possession of marijuana, both felonies, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.

The arrest stemmed from after police searched the house on a warrant signed by Town of Oswegatchie Justice Michael Hebert.

Upon the search of 815 Stone Church Road, officers found roughly 32 ounces of marijuana, along with solvents, chemical reagents, laboratory equipment and powdered methamphetamine in and around the residence.

Snyder was released under the supervision of the St. Lawrence County Probation Department and is due back in the Oswegatchie court on Oct. 21 at 5 p.m.

Police say they discoverd that two children under age 17 lived at the residence.

Christopher Snyder, 39, and Steven Montroy, 27, were charged Sept. 23 with pot possession and marijuana possession stemming from the same search warrant. Christopher Snyder has now additionally been charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

Shawn S. Snyder, 42, of 817 Stone Church Road, was charged unlawfully growing marijuana without a license, which is an unclassified misdemeanor. The arrest stemmed from his allegedly growing nine pot plants in the backyard at 817 Stone Church Road, police said.

Sheriff Kevin Wells said Shawn Snyder was not connected to the meth bust, but marijuana plants allegedly belonging to him were discovered during that investiagtion.

"As part of the (meth) investigation, they (pot plants) were discovered because they were on an adjoining property. He's not part of the meth investigation," Sheriff Kevin Wells said. "They are brothers with adjoining properties."

The St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office say they were assisted by New York State Police, CCSERT Team, Narcotics Unit, Gouverneur police, Ogdensburg police, New York State DEC, and Morristown Volunteer Fire and Rescue departments.
