POTSDAM – The state Department of Transportation will ask the public to comment on their proposed rehabilitation of the bridges across the Raquette River along Maple Street at a meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 29 in the Civic Center board room.
DOT is specifically soliciting comments from individuals, groups, officials and local agencies on the proposed traffic control plan and on the project’s social, economic and environmental effects.
On display for open discussion will be preliminary plans for the proposed bridge rehabilitation and roadway approach reconstruction.
The bid opening on this project is expected to be next summer. Construction is also expected to begin in summer 2015. Construction is expected to be completed in the winter of 2016-17.
The project cost is estimated at $4,200,000.
