The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has released a new Anzalone Liszt Research poll that shows Democrat Bill Owens with a 12-point lead over Republican challenger Matt Doheny.
The poll shows Owens with support of 50 percent of the voters in a three-way race.
In the race for New York’s 21st Congressional district, Owens leads Doheny 50 percent to 38 percent with Green Party candidate Donald Hassig taking 4 percent, and eight percent undecided.
Owens has a better than 2-1 favorability ratio, and the incumbent is better known across the district, according to the poll.
The Democratic poll surveyed 400 likely voters July 29 to 31 and has a 4.9 percent margin of error.
