DEKALB -- A DeKalb teen is charged with assault after she allegedly attacked a 15-year-old female and then cut her hair with scissors, St. Lawrence County Sheriff's deputies say.
Michele L. Skidds, 16, of DeKalb was charged with assault for an incident that occured Oct. 4.
Deputies say Skidds grabbed the victim and "forcibly cut her hair with a pair of scissors" before striking her multiple times in the face and head.
The incident occurred at Hermon-DeKalb Central School.
Deputies say the victim was injured, but did not release the extent of the damage.
Skidds was charged with misdemeanor second-degree assault and second-degree reckless endangerment.
Skidds was released on an appearance ticket and ordered to appear in court at a later date.
