CANTON – Two St. Lawrence County residents were arrested Thursday following a brief vehicle chase, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
John C. Trombley Jr., 29, DeKalb Junction, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, third-degree unlawfully fleeing a police officer, three counts of failing to stop for a stop sign, speeding: 80 mph in a 50 mph zone, unlicensed operator: operating out of class and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, officers said.
A passenger, Jullie L.Sharlow, 34, Russell, was allegedly charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Both subjects were reportedly released on appearance tickets returnable to Canton Town Court at a later date.
Deputies said they were assisted by the Canton Village Police Department, New York State Police and U.S. Border Patrol.
