OGDENBSURG -- State police say the inmate killed in Ogdensburg Tuesday night was stabbed in the neck, chest and abdomen in an altercation with two other inmates.
The deceased's name is being withheld at this time pending notification of next of kin, according to troopers. The person or people responsible have not yet been named.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
St. Lawrence County Coroner Kevin Crosby ordered his body be transported to Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center, Ogdensburg.
An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday at Albany Medical Center.
