The state Department of Environmental Conservation says they rescued two hikers while lost in the Adirondack High Peaks on Saturday, one of whom hails from Massena.
The DEC says they received a call from a 45-year-old female from Saranac Lake saying that she and her 33-year-old female hiking partner from Massena got lost while coming down Scarface Mountain. WWNY-tv is reporting the Massena resident is Brandi Paige.
The DEC says Essex County 911 dispatch got their coordinates and gave the information to state Forest Rangers.
The pair was found in good condition, and escorted back to their vehicle without incident.
