BRASHER -- The Department of Environmental Conservation says forest rangers rescued man who had gotten stuck on a snowmobile trail and couldn’t get out.
On Jan. 8 at 3:09 p.m., DEC’s dispatch in Ray Brook received a transferred call from state troopers about the stuck vehicle in Brasher.
The operator, a 68-year-old Fort Covington man, was unable to walk out to the road due to health reasons, DEC said.
Two forest rangers responded using a sport utility vehicle to access the trail and evacuate the man, according to a news release from DEC.
At the roadside, state police took the man home and a tow truck retrieved his stuck vehicle from the snowmobile trail, according to DEC.
