MASSENA -- Disabled American Veterans Thomas Bushnell Chapter 171 held their annual drivers’ appreciation dinner recently at the VFW Post 1143 in Massena.
Thirteen drivers and their guests were treated to a prime rib dinner prepared by the VFW Auxiliary under the charge of President Connie Premo.
Drivers for the DAV are all volunteers and log thousands of miles transporting veterans to and from their appointments locally and at Syracuse VAMC. The large van travels to Syracuse twice weekly while the small van is on the road daily.
